Round Hill fifth graders take the stage for spelling bee competition

Amiel Felipe Alduey, a fifth grader at Round Hill was victorious in the spelling bee for spelling ‘threshold’ correctly on Wednesday morning. Fourth and fifth grade students gathered in the cafeteria to witness the exciting competition.

Fifth grade finalists Adrianna Barrientos, Elizabeth Clark, and Chase Smith stood on stage, going up one by one to spell various words. 

Events such as the school spelling bee promote academic and personal development while enhancing literacy skills. Additionally, it encourages students to understand the origins, meanings and pronunciations of words, building a strong foundation in language arts.
